Job Summary:
The GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychology Director to lead our forensic mental health services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the delivery of health services to individuals with mental health and forensic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to forensic mental health services.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of subordinate managers and staff to provide continuous active treatment to patients.
- Monitor and evaluate healthcare programs to ensure they meet organizational and programmatic objectives.
- Develop and administer budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
- Participate in community assessments and develop policies and plans based on data collection and activity reports.
- Collaborate with regional offices and community providers to extend a continuum of care to individuals with mental health and forensic needs.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
- Three years of experience at the lower level Psychologist 3 (HCP142) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in forensic psychology and management of psychological or forensic psychological services.
- License to practice psychology in the State of Georgia.
