Forensic Psychologist

GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta (GRHA). As a Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting criminal forensic evaluations and providing treatment to criminal defendants.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct face-to-face forensic mental health evaluations to determine competency to stand trial and/or criminal responsibility.
- Conduct forensic risk assessments and other psychological testing on individuals admitted to the inpatient forensic unit.
- Complete comprehensive annual reviews and develop opinions regarding the need for civil commitment.
- Provide expert witness testimony as a neutral friend to the court.
- Participate on the recovery planning team, including the development of individualized recovery plans.
- Facilitate group treatment, psycho-educational interventions, and other individualized therapies.
- Creation and implementation of behavioral plans.
- Documentation of treatment progress.
- Clinical supervision of master's level mental health counselors and doctoral trainees.
- Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
- Two years of experience at the lower level Psychologist 2 (HCP141) or equivalent.
