Position: Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Technician
Compensation: $19.00-$21.00/hr.
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Role Summary:
The Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for executing assembly tasks in a streamlined production environment. This role involves performing both mechanical and electrical assembly processes, utilizing hand tools to work with sensitive components and cables. A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English. The technician must demonstrate the capability to assemble units and conduct basic testing as required on the manufacturing floor.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient understanding of parts, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Commitment to Learning: Eagerness to acquire knowledge about various product lines and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Effective Time Management: Ability to work efficiently within a fixed capacity production setting.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly meticulous with a focus on accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Works effectively as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a Lean manufacturing environment by minimizing waste.
  • Assemble and test components using provided schematics and BOM.
  • Familiarity with cable and harness assembly techniques, including crimping, is essential.
  • Utilize standard hand and power tools, with potential use of specialized equipment.
  • Adhere to established procedures for fitting, adjusting, and ensuring proper operation of components.
  • Meet production deadlines and shipping schedules.
  • Report any defective materials or concerns to the production supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas as needed.
  • Physical requirements include medium lifting (10-25 lbs.), with assistance for heavier items.
