Production Assembler

Position Summary:
The role of a Production Assembler involves engaging in various assembly tasks, including some welding operations. This position necessitates the capability to execute both straightforward and intricate processes based on the specific product being assembled or fabricated. It typically requires precise fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components, units, and assemblies to meet stringent tolerances for mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Occasionally, the role may involve handling challenging parts or components, demanding excellent dexterity. The use of hand and power tools is essential to complete the assembly tasks, alongside performing welding fabrication duties as required. Detailed blueprints, assembly sketches, or similar documents may be utilized to guide the assembly process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install components according to specifications, employing various hand and power tools and equipment.
- Verify that the supplied parts align with the drawings and meet the quality standards for the assembled product.
- Interpret blueprints, process flow instructions, and other written or verbal directives.
- Accurately document shop floor production data for reporting purposes.
- Adhere to both visual and written work instructions to complete assigned tasks within the designated timeframe.
- Maintain quality and productivity benchmarks.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, including daily cleaning, to uphold good housekeeping practices and comply with safety regulations.
- Utilize product travelers according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with additional projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must successfully fulfill each essential duty and responsibility outlined above. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Prior experience as an Assembler in a manufacturing setting, with some welding experience or a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Consistent work history demonstrating reliability.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening and background check.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to wear steel-toe shoes and safety glasses at all times.
