Position Summary:
This is a temporary contractor role at Novartis, a company that impacts the lives of millions globally. We are collaborating with Magnit Global to provide flexible contractor opportunities for those seeking to enhance their skills while contributing to a leading global pharmaceuticals organization.
Role Importance:
This job description outlines the critical need for robust SAP expertise to streamline supply chain operations and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong affinity for technology and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Departmental Allocation:
We are looking to fill several positions across various departments, including:
- Engineering
- Global Logistics
- Manufacturing
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Supply Chain
- Warehouse
- Change Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to evaluate the influence of SAP on existing business processes, ensuring smooth integration with current practices.
- Maintain and update essential documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Master Batch Records (MBRs), and product specifications in alignment with SAP.
- Work closely with SMEs to identify affected documents and create work plans to update all necessary documentation within project timelines, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Provide comprehensive support to end users during system testing and implementation phases, promptly addressing any issues to minimize disruptions.
- Develop detailed training materials for end users focused on transitioning to SAP, and conduct training sessions to facilitate a seamless transition.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of test cases and business scenario tests to ensure thorough SAP coverage.
- Review and revise SOPs and Work Instructions to reflect necessary changes due to SAP, maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Novartis standards for system-supported processes, reinforcing the company's commitment to quality.
- Develop role-specific training and transition plans to help users adapt to the new system, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Support the operational change control process, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Train and expand the Super User community for operational support, fostering a network of knowledgeable users to assist their peers.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a solid understanding of GxP Documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience utilizing SAP in a regulated environment, demonstrating proficiency in navigating and using the system.
- Experience in authoring SOPs, Work Instructions, and training materials, showcasing strong writing and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience conducting system testing in a validated environment, with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and communicate across all organizational levels.
