Key Responsibilities- Dock Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of docks and associated structures to identify and address any issues such as rot, corrosion, or damage.
- Equipment Repair and Replacement: Perform repairs and replacements of dock components, including boards, pilings, cleats, and ladders, to maintain structural integrity.
- Marina Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair marina equipment, such as power washers, pump out, and bubblers, hoists, and gangways, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including proper installation and maintenance of safety equipment, such as railings, lighting, and signage.
- Seasonal Preparations: Prepare docks and marina facilities for seasonal changes, including winterizing equipment and structures, as well as springtime inspections and maintenance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, including inventory management of supplies and materials.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including marina staff, dockhands, and/or vendors, as needed, to complete maintenance projects efficiently and effectively.
- 2+ years of experience in dock or marina maintenance, construction, or a similar outdoor maintenance role.
- Light trade skills experience, including Carpentry, Electrical, and Plumbing.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physical stamina to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
