Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the Inn, including guest rooms, public spaces, and event areas. The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, ensuring the quality of our guests' overall experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens
  • Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
  • Restock guest amenities and supplies in rooms
  • Remove trash and dirty linens
  • Straighten desk items, furniture, and ensure appliances are in working order
  • Clean decks and fireplaces, transport clean and dirty linen, and stock linen and supply rooms
  • Sort, stain, treat, wash, fold, and iron laundry
  • Clean public spaces, including restrooms, hallways, and lobbies
  • Remove trash and restock guest supplies in public spaces
  • Ensure floors, dusting, and windows are clean in event spaces
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and storage spaces
  • Monitor and control inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • Troubleshoot problems, address minor issues, and communicate larger maintenance and repair issues to maintenance
  • Communicate with team about room status, laundry, and guest requests
  • Maintain consistency with housekeeping procedures to ensure quality cleaning standards and compliance
  • Assist maintenance department with tasks as needed
  • Deep clean floors and carpets as requested
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding position that requires carrying supplies, linens, and equipment up and down stairs, on sidewalks, and sometimes for a considerable distance, regardless of weather conditions.
