Job Title: Housekeeper

Join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC as a Housekeeper, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residential community.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the community is clean, safe, and well-maintained. This includes performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry duties, as well as maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Follow established cleaning schedules to ensure the community is clean and well-maintained.
  2. Perform daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of all common areas.
  3. Complete deep cleaning of resident rooms as scheduled.
  4. Clean administrative offices as scheduled.
  5. Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
  6. Clean carpets and mop all floors upon request.
  7. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
  8. Ensure and support a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.
  9. Respond promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.
  10. Speak to/interact with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
  11. Communicate effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.
  12. Maintain a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.
  13. Practice good body mechanics and safe working habits.
  14. Observe and report safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
  15. Provide assistance to associates when requested or required.
  16. Know, understand and follow established policy and procedures in emergency situations.
  17. Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.
  18. Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.
  19. Always demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies and procedures.
  20. Complies with attendance and call off policy.
  21. Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.
  22. Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.
  23. Refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate nursing supervisor.
  24. Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
  25. Provides "hands-on" assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community.
  26. Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.
  27. Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
  28. Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly.
  29. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
