Job Summary

We are seeking a Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will be responsible for performing housekeeping and cleaning duties, including dusting and damp mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing and disposing of trash. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties in assigned areas, including dusting and damp mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing and disposing of trash.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff, including adhering to infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and report equipment/cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily, and utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, and must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products, and live in the service area.
