KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Optical Retail Specialist provides outstanding value to our customers by delivering the Luxottica Experience. This role ensures that all clients receive top-tier Optometric services.

Achieves the store's performance goals by embodying the Brand Story and ensuring the seamless integration of patient care and retail operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Welcomes customers promptly (within 30 seconds).
- Answers phone calls within three rings in a friendly manner.
- Clarifies all necessary documentation, assessments, products, and services.

- Pays close attention to detail; reviews prescriptions and patient data meticulously; identifies unique needs, consulting with the Optician or Management as required.

- Exhibits patience and professionalism with indecisive customers.
- Completes tasks accurately under pressure and high customer volume.
- Identifies and resolves customer dissatisfaction swiftly.
- Demonstrates proficiency in scheduling and computer operations.
- Manages patient records efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
- Processes contact lens orders and manages inventory.
- Operates the POS system accurately, ensuring proper payment collection and transaction handling.

- Communicates processing times and delivery expectations clearly to customers.

- Maintains store appearance and visual merchandising according to company standards.
- Ensures a safe environment for all staff and customers.
- Adapts to promotional changes with effective communication and materials.

RETAIL EXPERTISE
- Demonstrates comprehensive product knowledge; proactively describes the features and advantages of various eyewear.
- Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses that best fit their vision needs and financial considerations.

CLINICAL SUPPORT
- Conducts pre-examination tests with precision and clarity; explains measurements and answers patient inquiries.

- Provides guidance on contact lens care and maintenance based on clinical knowledge.

- Supports the Optometrist as needed and maintains the hygiene of contact lens inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service aptitude.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with cash registers and computer systems.
- Sales proficiency.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of store merchandise.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous roles in customer service, retail, or optical environments.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
Compensation is based on various factors, including location, experience, and qualifications.
