We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Licensed Optician to join our team of optical experts at Warby Parker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping customers see the world with clarity and style.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with customers to understand their eyewear needs and provide personalized recommendations.
  • Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with precision and accuracy.
  • Check finished eyewear to ensure it meets our optical standards and customer requirements.
  • Use your expertise to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
  • Collaborate with your team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Help customers choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
  • Represent our brand and values to educate others and promote our mission.
Requirements:
  • A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
  • Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries.
  • A clear, effective, and professional communicator who can break down technical terms for customers.
  • Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and going above-and-beyond to make customers happy.
  • An energetic, positive team player who can adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities.
  • Open-minded and constantly learning, with a willingness to challenge assumptions and improve processes.
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
