About the Job

We are currently recruiting for a CRE Portfolio Manager II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting and managing a substantial portfolio of CRE business loans. Key responsibilities include:

  • Underwriting and portfolio management
  • Monitoring lending relationships to detect any deteriorations
  • Preparing problem loan reports
  • Underwriting for loan approvals for new loan requests and existing relationships

The ideal candidate will have a seasoned, professional level of knowledge and skill gained through broad experience in commercial and CRE banking, combined with a thorough understanding of commercial banking concepts and practices. Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills are required to effectively work with clients to explain products and interpret policy.

Key Responsibilities

The CRE Portfolio Manager II will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating and recommending CRE loan requests for approval
  • Ensuring acceptable credit quality in the region's portfolio by complying with the bank's credit policy
  • Handling underwriting on all new requests, renewals, and restructures of existing loans
  • Performing financial analysis of borrower and determining strengths and weaknesses

The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying problem assets and developing an action plan, collaborating with the Portfolio Administrator and Relationship Manager to manage delinquencies, financial statement and documentation exceptions, and monitoring past due and coming due loans.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial and CRE banking
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking concepts and practices
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills
