Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Experiential Therapist to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As an Experiential Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, facilitating, directing, and evaluating experiential therapy programming in all specialized treatment areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement experiential therapy programs that meet the needs of patients/residents
  • Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions using a variety of experiential media
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide comprehensive care
  • Document patient/resident progress and program evaluations
  • Participate in training new employees and contribute to the development of the Experiential Therapy department
  • Attend mandatory in-services and other relevant training sessions
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies required; Master's degree preferred
  • Certification/registration through appropriate credentialing board preferred
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Formal training in management of aggressive patients required within 60 days of hire
Working Conditions

The Experiential Therapist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients/residents. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate effectively with patients/residents and staff, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

The Experiential Therapist will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and may be required to travel to off-site locations for program-specific programming.

The Experiential Therapist will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Rogers Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
