Medication Technician

At THRIVE, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Experience Coordinator - Medication Tech to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care and support for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify resident identification to ensure accurate care delivery.
- Recognize and respond to resident needs and concerns.
- Document resident condition changes in a timely manner.
- Promote resident independence and decision-making.
- Report resident intake and meal percentage sheets.
- Document accidents and incidents.
- Assist with resident move-ins, transfers, and move-outs.
- Review and update work shift assignments and schedules.
- Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with community policies and procedures.
- Notify the Health and Wellness Director of pending absences or tardiness.
- Report and document resident complaints and grievances.
- Report resident departures.
- Document interactions with co-workers to meet resident needs.
- Contribute to a positive and calm environment.
- Meet with personnel to identify and correct problems or improve services.
- Assist with personal care functions, including dental and mouth care, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Observe and report pressure areas and provide skin care.
- Ensure the call system is available and answered promptly.
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Report resident abuse immediately.
- Observe, monitor, and report symptoms of potential skin breakdown and decubitus ulcers.
- Assist CNAs with slings, elastic bandages, and binders.
- Observe and monitor disoriented and comatose residents.
- Attend and participate in orientation programs, training, and educational classes.
- Follow established safety precautions and report unsafe conditions.
- Follow smoking regulations and report violations.
- Wash hands before and after resident services.
- Review Resident Assessments and Plans of Care.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy.
- Report communicable or infectious diseases.
- Follow universal precautions and isolation procedures.
- Perform emergency procedures, such as CPR and first aid.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Document observed data on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
- Introduce new residents to their roommates and other residents.
- Watch for and report changes in room temperature, ventilation, lighting, and other environmental factors.
- Check light bulbs and report those needing replacement.
- Monitor resident personal articles and store them properly.
- Inventory and store resident personal possessions.
- Ensure teams maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist residents in preparing for activities and social programs.
- Assist with caring for residents' eyeglasses, hearing aids, prostheses, and other personal items.
- Oversee dietary programs during shifts.
- Review housekeeping needs and kitchen cleanliness.
- Assist and direct visitors as needed.
