Telemetry Technician

As a Monitor Technician at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients assigned to you. This includes answering telephone and intercom calls, assisting with transcribing medical orders and nursing information, and observing and maintaining cardiac monitors and telemetry units.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias accurately and report any changes in heart rate/rhythm to the appropriate nursing staff.
* Maintain Telemetry Supplies and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
* Record patient condition using computerized documentation systems and perform duties with a full understanding of related age-specific factors.
* Orient and mentor new staff members to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
* Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements:
* Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
* Must be able to pass the Rhythms and Arrhythmias exam.
* Monitor Tech experience is preferred but not required.
