Job Summary

Mid Michigan College is seeking a qualified Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) instructor to teach courses in the assigned discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD and design, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classroom courses and develop and update syllabi to ensure course content meets college and accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to measure course effectiveness and student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades.
  • Hold regular office hours for student support and communication.
  • Collaborate with full-time and adjunct faculty, as well as other departments and services, to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, and college committees as assigned.
  • Adhere to college policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines, and promote a culture of ethics and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in CAD/DRF or related field preferred; minimum of an Associate's degree with extensive work experience required.
  • One to three years of teaching experience or 2-3 years of professional work experience in the CAD/DRF industry preferred.
