Job Title: Adjunct Computer-Aided Drafting Instructor

Mid Michigan College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Computer-Aided Drafting Instructor to teach courses in the CAD/DRF discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided drafting and design, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach assigned classroom courses in CAD/DRF, ensuring that course content and requirements meet the standards of the college and accreditation agencies.
  • Develop and update syllabi for courses assigned, ensuring that course content and requirements meet the standards of the college and accreditation agencies.
  • Assess student academic achievement and provide timely and meaningful feedback on progress in the course(s).
  • Maintain and report appropriate classroom records, including student attendance and grades.
  • Hold regular office hours for meeting with and assisting students.
  • Maintain regular communication with full-time and adjunct faculty in the assigned departments, as well as the Library and Learning Services area, and Registrar and Retention Services.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service programs within the department and college-wide.
  • Support and serve as a role model for our mission, vision, and student service initiatives.
  • Adhere to the policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines of the college.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in CAD/DRF preferred, or minimum of an Associate's Degree in CAD/DRF with extensive work experience (2-3 years) required.
  • One to three years of teaching experience preferred, or 2-3 years of professional work experience within the CAD/DRF industry.
