Job Title: AutoCAD Technician

Comfort Systems USA MidAtlantic, LLC is a leading mechanical contracting company seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD MEP, REVIT, and MS Office programs, with experience drawing and detailing Plumbing, Mechanical Piping, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend job turnover meetings to gain an understanding of the overall job scope.
  • Read and comprehend job specifications, job contract drawings, and equipment submittals.
  • Design equipment room and building systems layouts using contract drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals to optimize piping and duct systems.
  • Understand how to use mechanical and electrical code resource materials to incorporate required clearances and other minimum standards to meet Building Code requirements.
  • Prepare coordination drawings with other trades.
  • Participate in BIM projects as required.
  • Make field jobsite visits to gather data through the use of hand measurements, laser measuring devices, and digital scanning equipment.
  • Assist jobsite personnel with layout of systems utilizing Trimble Rapid Positioning System equipment.
  • Adhere to all company standards as defined in the employee handbook.
  • Perform all other duties of this job function as assigned.
