Support for New Graduates

Newly registered nurses (RNs) will benefit from a comprehensive and personalized support framework. All RNs entering their first nursing position are encouraged to participate in a Nurse Residency Program alongside their nursing orientation. This program enhances social integration, clinical judgment, and professional growth.

Unit Specialization

Our adult medical diabetes unit is an 18-bed facility specializing in the care of critically ill diabetic patients. Nurses on this unit manage a variety of medical and progressive cases, including but not limited to heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, and psychiatric conditions.

This unit operates under our TBAAM (Team Based Acuity Adaptable Model), which involves an interdisciplinary team that collaborates daily with clinical nurses to ensure optimal continuity of care for our patients.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an Associate of Nursing (ASN) degree; a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) is preferred. An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license is required. Candidates must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program and hold Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Additional advanced Life Support certifications may be necessary based on unit or department specialty in accordance with patient care policies.
