Your Role
As a Laser Technician at Areté, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of AIRTRAC lasers, which involves constructing optical systems. This position requires expertise in handling optics and affixing these components using various adhesives. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to design, develop, test, and manufacture lasers. Your responsibilities will encompass the precise tuning and alignment of optical elements and lasers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently or under the guidance of an electrical or optical engineer, you will be involved in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying of both developmental and production electronic and optical systems.
  • Set up and operate complex optical equipment, either independently or under the supervision of an optical engineer.
  • Conduct optical measurements and testing to support laser alignment, fabrication, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications
  • Familiarity with electronic and optical testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, power meters, optical sensors, spectrometers, cameras, lasers, and detectors.
  • Ability to produce professional documentation and thoroughly record setups and testing outcomes.
  • AA/AS in a Technical or Engineering field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
