Role Responsibilities
The Environmental Services Specialists play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of healthcare facilities, which is vital for the well-being of Veterans and their families. This position involves working alongside a dedicated team of staff members, many of whom are Veterans themselves.
As a member of the Environmental Services team, you will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks in both patient and non-patient areas. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and common areas to ensure they meet health standards.
- Managing waste disposal, including the transportation of refuse and recycling materials.
- Restocking supplies such as paper towels and soap in all designated areas.
- Working independently or as part of a team to fulfill cleaning assignments with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time position, with schedules determined by the needs of the facility.
Qualifications
While specific prior experience is not mandated, candidates should demonstrate a capacity for performing the duties outlined above.
Physical Requirements
The role requires physical stamina, including walking, standing, and the ability to handle cleaning equipment.
