Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Essentra is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team based in Louisville, KY. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in driving revenue and sales growth by developing and executing a sales strategy that meets the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing customers and qualify new leads
  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring accurate and efficient order processing and product distribution
  • Prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to management
  • Apply knowledge of the field and product features to match products to customer needs
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide information on products, their uses, and industry trends
  • Provide quotes, credit terms, and bid specifications to customers
  • Ensure orders and samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time
  • Responsible for quoting catalog items and simple non-stock items
  • Report weekly updates on new opportunities, wins, or losses within the territory
  • Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and adding relevant notes
  • Ensure the Essentra Components service proposition is executed daily
  • Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends
  • Participate in weekly meetings and cross-functional management meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in sales or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Motivated, persuasive, patient, empathetic, and dedicated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hand-on/can-do attitude driven by the will to accomplish tasks
  • Experience in an industrial sales role (preferred)
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience actively using a CRM tool (a plus)
