Job Summary

The CPA Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing and executing financial functions, including audits, tax planning, and consulting services for our clients. This position requires an experienced individual who is capable of managing multiple client accounts and deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Financial Management: Handle complex accounting and financial transactions, compile and review financial statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns, advise clients on tax strategies consistent with applicable federal and state regulations. Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area.
  • Audit and Assurance Services: Lead and conduct audits, providing recommendations on policies and procedures to improve operations and financial integrity.
  • Advisory Services: Provide strategic insights and recommendations to improve client financial and operational performance. Analyze financial data to assist in corporate decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across financial and accounting practices.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work collaboratively with other team members and departments, potentially mentoring junior staff and assisting with their development.

Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant with at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tax codes, GAAP, and other regulations related to the accounting and taxation industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships and interact effectively with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
  • 5+ years of experienced work as a tax professional.
  • Experience preparing business taxes including 1120, 1120S, 1065.
  • Sales Tax Experience.
  • Knowledge of Fixed asset management and depreciation.
  • Experience with ProSeries software a plus.
