Job OverviewRole and Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Inspector is tasked with overseeing activities and implementing best practices to ensure the excellence of our products and manufacturing processes. This role involves conducting inspections of incoming materials, in-process evaluations, and final assessments of outgoing shipments to customers.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prioritizing personal safety and that of colleagues in the workspace; promptly reporting unsafe conditions to management and taking proactive measures to avert accidents and injuries.
  • Interpreting and analyzing mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Documenting inspection reports, including the recording of actual dimensional measurements.
  • Employing various measuring instruments, such as calipers, tape measures, and verniers, to acquire precise measurements.
  • Upholding and enforcing all Quality procedures, and reporting any non-conforming work to the Plant Manager.
  • Identifying opportunities for Continuous Improvement in Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Physically capable of bending, squatting, and maneuvering to obtain measurement readings.
  • Possessing mathematical skills related to fractions and decimal conversions.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Demonstrating a positive influence on the organization.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience in QA/QC is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP operating systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and maintain organization.
Additional Notes
  • A satisfactory pre-employment background check and drug screening are mandatory.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Environment
  • The work is performed in a manufacturing plant setting.
  • Safety steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required.
  • Availability to work overtime as necessary.
  • The position may require outdoor work to gather measurements and data to perform job duties.
Compensation and Benefits
  • After 30 days of employment, employees become eligible for company benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits, as well as a 401(k) plan.
  • Vacation and sick pay accrual can be utilized once eligible.
