Position Overview:

Inspector - License & Certification

As a key member of our collaborative team, you will be instrumental in verifying that Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Medicaid program providers adhere to both state and federal regulations, which includes investigating claims of abuse and exploitation.

As a field-based surveyor, you will enjoy the flexibility of working on-site, where you will document deficiencies, violations, and necessary corrective measures against providers. You will also conduct regulatory assessments to facilitate informed decision-making. Below are the professional requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site inspections and thorough surveys to confirm provider compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in entrance and exit conferences, producing comprehensive inspection reports that detail deficiencies and recommendations.
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues related to Medicaid programs for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ensure the correction of regulatory violations and conduct quality assurance reviews of documentation prepared by others.
  • Occasionally provide testimony in hearings or court proceedings to present relevant information.
Qualifications:
  • Proven knowledge of program regulations, investigative methods, and proficiency in using personal computers.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships, work independently, and communicate clearly in both oral and written forms.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex regulatory policies and exercising professional judgment in challenging situations.
  • Familiarity with professional standards of care and competent decision-making.
