Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ICF/IID Inspector to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an ICF/IID Inspector, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents in intermediate care facilities by conducting on-site inspections and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations, and annual comprehensive surveys to determine compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information, answer inquiries, and resolve issues or complaints.
  • Conduct exit conferences with facility staff to discuss findings and assist in developing plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Complete inspection or survey reports detailing deficiencies, recommended remedies, and narratives to support regulatory findings.
  • Visit long-term care facilities to verify correction of previously cited regulatory violations.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others, such as publications, assessments, and reports.
Requirements:
  • Skilled in performing quality assurance monitoring, certification, survey, and/or investigation of health facilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment to reach sound decisions.
  • Ability to multi-task and track multiple activities with competing priorities.
