Compensation: $17.50 to $18.50 based on location.
Schedule: Multiple positions available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Residential Manager in managing daily operations across two residential sites, ensuring quality service delivery.
- Support the individual preferences and needs of residents, fostering self-advocacy.
- Guide Direct Support Professionals in helping individuals recognize their strengths and share them within the community.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards, building trust with residents and staff.
- Promote healthy living through diet, exercise, emotional support, and medical care.
- Adhere to all training, safety, and reporting protocols.
- Teach residents home maintenance skills appropriate to their abilities.
- Oversee the management of residents' personal finances and ensure accountability for funds during shifts.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and completion of necessary documentation.
- Supervise and assess the performance of Direct Support Professionals on-site.
- Provide medication assistance to residents as required.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of individual service plans to support residents in achieving their goals.
- Directly supervise up to 15 Direct Support Professionals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (TASC).
- Two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong written, verbal, and computer skills.
- Valid NYS Driver's License or ability to convert an out-of-state license within 90 days.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Preferred: One year of supervisory experience.
