Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Technical Lead to join our Application Development team. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and scientists to develop next-generation Li-ion battery materials. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of novel battery products and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and government agencies to achieve our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement experimental best practices to enable efficient product development
  • Communicate technical findings to a diverse audience through verbal, written, and presentation formats
  • Recruit, interview, and hire exceptional engineers to expand the team's capacity and capabilities
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety and accountability within the team
  • Collaborate with technical leads and adjacent groups to establish product development strategy
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry, or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of industry experience
  • Track record of technical leadership and people management, including mentoring engineers and scientists
  • Demonstrated success collaborating in a highly technical interdisciplinary setting
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to a diverse audience
Working Conditions
  • Pass a respirator fit test and wear respiratory protection on a periodic basis
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes
  • Move items up to 25 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts
