Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating various respiratory care equipment for diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents while adhering to facility policies.
  • Explaining treatment procedures and equipment to residents to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Administering physician-prescribed treatments, including operating devices such as nebulizers and ventilators.
  • Performing chest physical therapy to assist in clearing airway blockages.
  • Monitoring patients' responses to therapy and documenting all relevant information accurately.
  • Conducting regular equipment checks and ensuring proper maintenance of respiratory therapy devices.
  • Collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current and valid Respiratory Care License in the State of California.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Previous clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients and equipment, and may involve standing or walking for extended periods.

Compensation:
The pay scale for this position ranges from $32 to $36 per hour, depending on various factors such as experience and skill level.
