Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Knickerbocker Group Inc. As a key member of our Construction Project Management team, you will provide administrative support and assist in the coordination and completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preconstruction/Estimating:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Prepare project documentation and coordinate with project managers.
    • Assist in the preparation of bid packages and track subcontractor and vendor proposals.
    • Draft contracts and obtain necessary permits.
    • Track and maintain subcontractor and vendor insurance and documentation.
  • Project Documentation & Communication:
    • Setup and maintain project folders and documentation.
    • Assist in creating and monitoring project schedules.
    • Prepare for and attend project meetings.
    • Assist in distributing project information and tracking changes.
    • Create client progress reports.
    • Review and distribute RFIs and submittals.
  • Contract, Permitting, Safety, and Budget Management:
    • Assist in managing project expenses and reconciliation.
    • Maintain knowledge of general contract and subcontract documents and budgets.
    • Visit job sites to observe progress and document conditions.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a construction management related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably working on high-end residential projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, and Acumatica preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction process and competent in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal instruction.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful and proactive in resolving issues.
