Overview

As a Protein Purification Associate at Inotiv, you will be working in a research and development biomanufacturing environment. The base pay is $30.00 per hour, but may be higher based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Purify and characterize antibodies from complex mixtures using techniques such as protein A/G, SEC, ion exchange, and HIC, with FPLC affinity chromatography methods.
  • Responsible for the biochemical characterization of various molecular properties using methodologies like SDS-PAGE, isoelectric focusing, and endotoxin quantification/removal.
  • Develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and document purification protocols.
  • Perform minor clerical tasks relating to purification records assignment, review, and preparation of shipping documents.
  • Use software applications like spreadsheets, relational databases, and graphic packages to analyze and format data.
  • May participate in Lean Manufacturing-Plan, Do, Check, Act teams and execute applicable study protocols.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of protein purification experience in a research and development or biomanufacturing environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with various protein separation techniques, including protein A/G, SEC, ion exchange, IMAC, and HIC.
  • Hands-on experience with AKTA chromatography systems is preferred.
  • Experience handling biological cell culture supernatants and ascites.
  • Ability to maintain detailed experimental documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be available for weekend work and overtime as needed.
