Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for advancing clinical practice and providing expert consultation for patients with complex healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert consultation for patient/populations with complex healthcare needs, evaluating the impact of nursing interventions on patient outcomes and evidence-based practice.
  • Integrates knowledge, research findings, and experience to support the incorporation of evidence-based practice into excellent bedside nursing care.
  • Initiates clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice, and facilitates nursing research.
  • Advances nursing practice by participation in professional organizations, publications, and dissemination.
  • Coordinates care and transitions in collaboration with the patient/population and inter-professional team members.
  • Facilitates resolution of ethical conflicts in complex patient care situations.
  • Supports an accountable nursing care environment that stimulates continuous self-learning, reflective practice, and invites peer feedback to improve nursing practice.
  • Demonstrates advanced interpersonal and communication skills, employs conflict management and negotiation skills to support a healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing and Current National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) granted by a Board recognized certifying organization.
  • APN certification and licensure in MA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent inpatient pediatric nursing experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Previous CNS experience preferred.
