Position Overview:
The Customer Service Associate / Operator serves as a vital link between our healthcare facility and the patients we serve. This role is essential for ensuring that patients and their families receive the assistance they need in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service through effective scheduling and patient registration.
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming patients and their representatives, gathering necessary identifying information.
- Provide clear directions to help patients access various services within the facility.
- Perform duties as a night shift computer operator, which includes monitoring Patient Accounting Close of Day processes.
- Download and manage bills, claims, and reports accurately.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, .8 FTE, with night shifts that include a weekend rotation.
Compensation:
We offer competitive pay along with shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficient computer skills are essential.
- A minimum of one year of prior experience in the healthcare sector is required.
- Experience in registration and admissions is preferred.
- Familiarity with switchboard systems and procedures is advantageous.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are a must.
- A basic understanding of medical terminology is beneficial.
