Role Summary:

The Professional Services Engineer specializing in SharePoint will play a crucial role in supporting the Project team by offering expertise in various SharePoint implementations and client engagements. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail, demonstrate initiative, and effectively meet customer requirements. This role is vital in upholding our standards for customer service and ensuring project delivery with utmost compliance and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a project utilization rate of 70% weekly, encompassing all client-related dispatch and project tasks.
  • Travel to client locations as needed to support project teams, with non-travel days spent either onsite or remotely.
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to achieve defined project goals as per the statement of work.
  • Gather and analyze project data to generate status reports aligned with project milestones and propose future actions.
  • Review production, malfunction, and maintenance reports to identify and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate project statuses against planned schedules, identify potential problems, and facilitate solutions to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prioritize personal workload to ensure focus on productive, billable work.
  • Manage service tickets assigned to the project team and respond within agreed timeframes.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot ticket logs, tracking problem resolutions and performing incident analysis.
  • Serve as a primary technical escalation point for associate engineers, assisting with troubleshooting and escalating to senior engineers as necessary.
  • Engage with multiple advanced engineering groups and vendors to escalate technical issues, provide client updates, and drive incidents to resolution.

  • Comfortable in client-facing roles, demonstrating the ability to follow up on feedback to drive outcomes.
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills, capable of explaining complex technology to non-technical clients.
  • Effective communication with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Experience in planning and executing SharePoint architecture and design.
  • Proficient in developing SharePoint site architecture and managing user access.
  • Skilled in migrating content to SharePoint Online environments.
  • Provide guidance for enterprise SharePoint Online deployments.
  • Resolve SharePoint issues and malfunctions effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell commands.
  • Familiarity with data retrieval and SharePoint backup processes.
  • Manage SharePoint storage and assist with data archival.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint usage reports to enhance user experience.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices for SharePoint solutions.
  • Create usage analytics dashboards and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer support tickets when necessary.
  • Integrate Power Automate with SharePoint.
  • Expertise in advanced SharePoint features and Microsoft 365 integration.
  • Understanding of OneDrive and its integration with SharePoint.
  • Experience with various SharePoint migration toolsets.
  • Conduct end-user training and develop client-specific documentation.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Active Directory.
  • Experience with identity management and governance in SharePoint Online.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and application integration.
Experience

Professional Background:
  • 5+ years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator.
  • 3+ years of experience in SharePoint migrations using various toolsets.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or IT-related fields preferred.
  • Experience with Active Directory for user and group management.
  • Familiarity with identity management technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications is a plus.
