JOB SUMMARY
The CT IMAGING SPECIALIST, under the direct oversight of a radiologist, conducts specialized computerized tomographic examinations utilizing ionizing radiation scanning technology.

We are actively seeking a CT Imaging Specialist for a contract position on day shifts. This role may be extended based on performance and needs.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Completion of an AMA accredited CT program at the associate's or bachelor's degree level is required.

LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

Must hold a current and unrestricted license or registration to practice as a CT technologist in the relevant state, along with ARRT registration.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one year of recent experience as a CT technologist in a clinical environment is necessary.

CREDENTIALS

Current CPR certification and other health screenings as mandated by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Various healthcare facility settings; potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other infectious materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to ATC policies and procedures.
  • Follow client facility policies and procedures.
  • Accurately document all services rendered.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Deliver patient care in a respectful, non-discriminatory manner that acknowledges cultural diversity and age appropriateness, ensuring autonomy, rights, and dignity are upheld.
  • Effectively communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
  • Enhance professional skills through continuing education and meet state-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and explain procedures to patients.
  • Operate or administer intravenous contrast agents as needed.
  • Assess CT scans to determine if further imaging is necessary.
  • Perform three-dimensional reconstructions of CT images using computer software.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort, reviewing images to ensure quality.
  • Execute other related duties as assigned.
