Position Overview

As a Senior CT Imaging Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the Radiology department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and imaging quality.

  • Department: Radiology
  • Schedule: Full Time, with rotating weekends and participation in the on-call rotation
Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the daily operations of the CT imaging services.
  • Ensuring optimal image quality and patient care throughout all procedures.
  • Monitoring and verifying patient documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Overseeing quality control measures, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Serving as a resource for department staff and collaborating with other team members.
  • Conducting staff orientation, training, and ongoing coaching.
  • Providing valuable input for staff performance evaluations.
  • Accurately positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical parameters.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory agency standards.
  • Facilitating the prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to the PACS system.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Current BLS certification obtained within one month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist credential from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • One of the following credentials:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT(CT) certification.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography or Computed Tomography credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Education Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree with one year of experience, or five years of applicable experience.
