Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Optical Technician to join our team at EssilorLuxottica Group. As an Optical Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the production department by meeting productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and motivate others to follow work instructions to ensure efficient production processes.
- Complete equipment calibration and setup, and promptly communicate any maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
- Proactively identify quality, process, and workflow problems, and inform the Supervisor of any outstanding or re-occurring issues.
- Participate in the training of new hires and cross-train associates as necessary to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Actively communicate and share information and expectations with the Supervisor, and participate in team meetings and focus groups to provide input on facility issues.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and treat all associates with respect and dignity, reporting any issues or concerns to the Supervisor.
- Support management decisions and communicate concerns when appropriate, and assist the Team Leader and Supervisor in the execution of their duties.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, and notify the Supervisor of potential safety or health issues.
- Support and follow all safety requirements, and provide immediate feedback to all necessary parties.
- Maintain adherence to company policies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to prioritize, maintain organization, and meet strict deadlines
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, including breaks and lunch periods
