Job Summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Accounting Leader to provide ongoing functional support for the acquire-to-require business process and associated SAP ERP solution functionality for the Natural Gas Division.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Solution Support: Provide business support of existing functionality in the integrated SAP solutions suite, anticipating issues and risks, and working with technical teams to prevent or mitigate production problems.
  • Solution Evolution: Identify opportunities to improve solution usability, lead the definition of solution roadmap for acquire to retire workstreams, and work collaboratively with business, EBT, and IT resources to analyze and submit change requests/functional enhancements for prioritization considerations.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor key data related to in-scope processes to assess quality and define and execute plans to improve the quality of data and the use of the solution.
  • Reporting & Information: Define new and changed reporting and analytics, collaborating with the BI team to implement changes in reports and dashboards.
  • Training Support: Work with business functions to identify opportunities for training reinforcement, contribute to the development and update of Learning Library training materials, and participate in the development of user surveys and resulting action plans.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Depth or breadth of expertise in UGI fixed asset accounting procedures
  • Depth or breadth of expertise in UGI project accounting procedures
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP functionality
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, breach technical and business discussions, and reach concrete work plans
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Results-oriented
  • Self-motivated and intellectually curious
  • Strong business analysis and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of IT process and procedures
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer-related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

Required: Two (2) years of experience providing business support of fixed asset accounting/project accounting or two (2) years of experience providing business support of capital project management, or three (3) years of experience specific to SAP ERP, preferably SAP S4 ERP.

Preferred: TL Foundations, IIBA Business Analyst Certification, or equivalent.
