Teen Specialist Role Overview

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as a Teen Specialist. This role is responsible for overseeing all teen programs and advocacy at the clubhouse(s). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and/or leadership, with experience working with youth in academic settings, education programming, or youth leadership and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement teen programming, including planning, development, reporting, and implementation in collaboration with the Program Services team.
  • Assist with other operational functions of the clubhouse from time to time.
  • Work closely with the Program Services team to ensure seamless delivery of teen programs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree in a relevant education and/or leadership field.
  • A minimum of two years' work experience working with youth in an academic setting, education programming, or youth leadership and advocacy or one year of experience as a Youth Development Professional (YDP) at a Boys & Girls Club organization or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, direct, and coordinate programs, activities, and events.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability not required but helpful.
