Job Title: Builder Sales Representative

FloForm Countertops is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Builder Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating sales and fostering strong client relationships within the Builders industry.

Job Summary:

The Builder Sales Representative will be responsible for growing and developing sales and margins of FloForm's countertop product lines by specifying materials to the Builder Channel located within an assigned geographic territory. This role offers a competitive salary along with commission incentives based on sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with builders and specify FloForm's materials.
  • Present FloForm's products, including Natural Stone, Slab, Tile, Hardscape, Porcelain tile/pavers, Mosaics, and Quartz.
  • Understand our products, market competition, and how to position FloForm products.
  • Conduct sales calls on builders and/or design centers located within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with builder's key purchasing personnel.
  • Communicate FloForm's competitive advantages to installation companies and countertop fabrication companies, providing service to the target market to establish FloForm as the vendor of choice for builders.
  • Responsible for internal and external communication with all builder channel customers and internal decision makers to ensure clear direction.
  • Responsible for market research and analysis for assigned region.
  • Manage displays, samples, and selling tools required by builders.
  • Utilize marketing tools such as catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral to broaden the reach in territory and promote FloForm's products.
  • Investigate and resolve customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns, credits, etc.
  • Attend trade shows throughout the year as required.
  • Travel 40% - 80% locally, occasionally nationally.
  • Perform additional duties as required and/or requested.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, set priorities, and complete tasks by the required timeline.
  • Ability to view opportunities in a solutions-oriented manner.
  • Must be an effective leader with the ability to think strategically.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Working knowledge of the countertop, hardscape, and/or floor covering industry's products, pricing, processes, and related single-family new home construction sales channels.
  • Experience working with builder channel purchasing teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience in planning, budgeting, and sales management analysis.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Graduate (Bachelor's preferred).
  • 2+ years of work-related experience and any combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • In possession of certifications in sales training preferred.
