Job Summary:As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Providing continuous monitoring and interpretation of patient's vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Administering medications, as prescribed by physicians, and monitoring their effects on patients.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Responding promptly to alarms and alerts, and taking appropriate actions to address any potential issues.
- Documenting all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing, with a strong focus on cardiac telemetry.
- Proficient in interpreting EKGs and other cardiac monitoring equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
