About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our team in the development of innovative medical devices. As a key member of our Core R&D group, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, overseeing the design and development of new products, and ensuring timely integration of electrical systems into existing products.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians to design and develop new medical devices
  • Oversee the development of electrical systems, including hardware and firmware, to meet product specifications and performance requirements
  • Collaborate with Program Management and cross-functional teams to define and execute product development strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality regulations
  • Provide technical knowledge and leadership to the team, and mentor engineers to develop their skills
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people leadership within a product development or technology development environment
  • 7 years overall engineering experience (or 5 years overall engineering experience with an advanced degree)
  • Strong technical and leadership skills, with experience in embedded electrical design and designing analog and digital circuitry on custom PCBs
  • Experience with application of predictive engineering principles such as Design for Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar concepts
  • Front-room and back-room FDA audit experience
  • Experience validating test scripts, methods, and systems
