Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:
HRU Inc Technical Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development, testing, and fielding of complex military equipment. The successful candidate will research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures using advanced modeling and analysis tools.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and their ability to deliver required products or services.
  • Work under general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on various military systems, including combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions.
  • Provide detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2+ years of relevant experience with a master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, such as drawings, reports, and technical analysis.
  • Ability to perform circuit simulation using PSpice or LTspice.
  • Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems.
  • Experience with integrating Field Programmable Gate Arrays and development of electronic control logic.
  • Experience with developing and integrating power generation, conversion, and storage solutions.
  • Experience in the development and integration of ammunition handling/loading systems, including autoloaders and large caliber rammer systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, and computer programming languages, such as C, C#, and Lab Windows/CVI.
  • Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio, circuit board schematic and layout tools.
  • Familiarity with design for components in a high EMI environment.
  • Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
