Position Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join a dynamic team focused on advancing our understanding of immune cell behavior in response to environmental changes. This role is critical in exploring the intricate mechanisms that govern host defense, inflammation, and tissue stability.

Research Focus

The successful candidate will engage in innovative research aimed at elucidating the roles of ion channels, GPCRs, and calcium signaling in the sensory functions of tissue-resident macrophages. Current projects include:
  1. Investigating cell-intrinsic defense mechanisms;
  2. Exploring immunometabolic pathways;
  3. Defining the functional roles of organ-resident myeloid cells;
  4. Examining neuroimmune interactions.

Qualifications
