Job Summary

Service Experts is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessories, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Maintenance Calls: Work under general supervision to perform maintenance calls and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Inspect and Diagnose Equipment: Inspect and perform limited diagnostics on equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Complete Maintenance and Cleaning: Complete routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or required.
  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Responsible for delivering excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Promote Products and Services: Promote products and services to customers and call Sales and Service Coordinator with specifics on replacement product sales leads generated from customer service visits.
  • Ensure Company Property and Tools: Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for.
  • Represent the Company Professionally: Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities
  • Report Unsafe Acts and Conditions: Report any unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately.
  • Correct Substandard Acts and Conditions: Correct substandard acts or conditions within area of control.
  • Use and Maintain Personal Protective Equipment: Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s).
  • Comply with Company Programs and Procedures: Comply with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s).
  • Participate in Safety Initiatives: Participate in any safety initiatives, teams, or committees.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED: High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years' experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred.
  • Licensing and Certification: Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area.
  • EPA and Safety Certifications: EPA and safety certifications required.
  • Basic Knowledge of HVAC Equipment: Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories.
  • Proficient Mechanical Aptitude: Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to communicate with customers and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to Work Flexible Hours: Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
