Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the proficient installation of residential and/or light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role includes supervising Install Helpers to guarantee quality workmanship and maintaining open communication with clients to address inquiries and resolve issues, ensuring total customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently install HVAC systems and accessories in residential settings.
  • Install heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration units following company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Design and fabricate ductwork as necessary.
  • Conduct start-up procedures for heating and cooling systems.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Promote company products and services during customer interactions.
  • Manage the delivery and removal of equipment required for installations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and accountability of company property, vehicles, and tools.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all dealings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of installation vehicles.
  • Follow established procedures for inventory management and vehicle maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report unsafe conditions or acts to the supervisor immediately.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and report incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to the development of safety plans and initiatives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with relevant training and 2 to 5 years of HVAC experience.
  • Valid licensing or certification as required by local regulations.
  • EPA and safety certifications are mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system operations and components.
  • Proficient in the installation of HVAC systems without supervision.
  • Knowledge of ductwork layout and installation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical and refrigerant systems.
  • Effective communication skills for customer interactions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in various environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as required.
