Job Summary:

Tidal Basin is seeking a skilled Document Specialist - Travel to join our team. As a key member of our disaster recovery and resiliency program, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to applicants, coordinating necessary services and resources, and meeting program goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry and upload documents within our systems of record
• Manage cases in conformance with program requirements and guidelines
• Collect and review documents and applicant information
• Advise and explain program policies, rules, and forms to applicants
• Collect and verify information and/or documents from applicants
• Send, receive, analyze, and process electronic and hard copy correspondence, documents, and forms
• Answer calls received through the call center and provide customer service within the call center environment
• Respond to phone calls and/or emails about program requirements and the status of applications
• Attend all meetings as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social services or related field preferred
• 2 years of work experience in disaster recovery, housing support services or programs, social services, or case management preferred
• Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish are a plus

Work Environment:

This is a temporary employment opportunity that requires travel across 2-3 counties. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting goals and objectives as assigned, complying with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements, and adhering to all contractual or prescribed stakeholder expectations and requirements.
