Revenue Cycle Specialist IV

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Specialist IV to join our team at CEDARS-SINAI. As a key member of our Patient Financial Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of patient accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Under general supervision, review and submit claims to third-party payors, perform account follow-up activities, and update information on accounts.
- Utilize expert knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements, payor contracts, and CSHS policies governing billing and collections to resolve complex cases and problem accounts.
- Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert to others, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Independently respond to requests, interact professionally with employees and external customers, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Effectively manage time, prioritize work activities, and balance daily workload and multiple projects.
- Exemplify high standards of professionalism, responsibility, accountability, and ethical behavior, participating in continuing education activities and promoting a positive working environment.
- Apply detailed knowledge of hospital and department policies, procedures, and systems, using them effectively and efficiently to achieve desired results.
- Monitor assigned work queues and workload, ensuring the timely and accurate resolution of accounts, and manage workload and priorities to meet deadlines.
- A minimum of five years of professional billing or collection experience required.
- Active CPC highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of professional coding highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required. College level courses in finance, business, or health insurance preferred.
- Strong English proficiency, including proper spelling and grammar, and solid verbal communication skills.
- Business math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately.
