Overview:
Innova Solutions is seeking a Senior Automation Scientist specializing in analytical laboratory instruments. This role is pivotal in implementing automation and robotic strategies within the Product Development sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving automation initiatives related to drug product development, providing troubleshooting support as necessary, managing the automation project portfolio, and introducing tailored robotic solutions across various organizational sites.

This position requires the creation of automation and robotic solutions by pinpointing existing gaps and opportunities within current development protocols to improve operational efficiency and responsiveness.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver automation support for formulation and analytical development projects.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the appropriate automation platforms for formulation development are effectively utilized and tailored to meet their requirements.
  • Implement adaptable methods for sample preparation, data analysis, interpretation, and timely reporting of results.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field. A Master's or Ph.D. is highly preferred.

Essential Skills:
  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience with automation and liquid handling systems, with a preference for Unchained Labs, Chemspeed, and Hamilton Systems.
  • Proficient in scripting for liquid handlers.
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in programming languages such as VB, Python, Perl, R, C++/C#.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques including HPLC, UPLC, CE-SDS, iCE, and high-throughput purification.
  • Adept at troubleshooting issues related to liquid handling devices.

Competencies:
  • Identify and address gaps within existing automation workflows; develop and implement viable automation and robotic protocols.
  • Demonstrate accountability, enthusiasm, and a sense of urgency.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies based on business needs.
  • Show interest in exploring and integrating innovative robotic capabilities as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, collaborators, and peers.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay range: $45 - $50.43 per hour.
