Role Overview
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC)/Charge RN will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. In this position, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical care, customer service, and leadership skills. You will be empowered to achieve optimal clinical outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction while effectively guiding your team.

The PCC will thrive in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a dedicated team in an 18-bed unit. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac conditions, patients on bipap machines, and individuals requiring vasoactive drips, encompassing both surgical and medical cases. Some patients may necessitate a higher level of care.

Key Qualifications
  • Exemplary relationship-building, communication, and teamwork skills, coupled with a positive attitude and calm demeanor; adept at multitasking with strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities; capable of delegating tasks, critical thinking, and managing challenging situations professionally.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by the National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA), or possess three years of relevant nursing experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Indiana as per the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience as an RN in a specialty area or a related field.
